A ramble through the fairytale forest. A cup of tea at the old curiosity shop.
I have had cats all my life and have only had one who ate tinsel. So for 10 years we had no tinsel or ribbons at Christmas, yes she ate ribbons as well.Could smell them come into the house I swear. You could put a wrapped gift on the table and she could be asleep in another room. You would turn around and she would be up on the table trying to eat the ribbon!Every Christmas when the presents went under the tree she would examine each one looking for ribbon, she was a "talker" and would grunt and mumble the whole time- to funny! I love having tinsel on the tree and ribbons but we miss our Luna girl and her strange ways.
So funny! I just don't understand what attracts cats to certain things. My cat also eats rubber bands...
Our last dog never ate tinsel, but he used to try to bury his head in the tree and take a **ahem** you-know-what. Knocked the whole tree over in the wee hours of the morning one year and broke all my favourite ornaments. But he was so freaked out, I didn't have the heart to be mad at him. :o)
I don't have any pets but I do have a 10 month old baby and it's his first Christmas. Wish me luck on keeping these decorations up!
Yep, a baby would probably be happy to eat tinsel and anything else he could get his hands on---good luck :)
Yes this house is decorated with kitty in mind, cats like to quickly remind us that they are toddlers and can't be trusted! :P
About a week ago our boxer chewed on a string of tiny christmas lights ... luckily they weren't plugged in and she didn't harm herself . Oh my they surprise me sometimes when I think I have them all safe from harm.
we dont use tinsel on our tree...right now I'm wondering if we should just remove everything...we have two young cats and everything is a toy..they were trying to eat a candy cane last night!!
Hhahahahahahahahahah! I needed a good laugh, so thank you kindly.
